Terms of Service

Effective 2026-10-18

1. What this is

Bradley Hicks, a sole proprietorship in Ontario, Canada operating as RevelPics ("we"), provides a service that lets a host create an event album, and lets that host's guests upload photos and videos to it by scanning a QR code or opening a link. No app is required to upload.

2. Your album and your responsibilities

If you create an album, you are the host. You are responsible for:

  • making sure guests know their photos will be uploaded and shared with other guests of that album;
  • obtaining any consent required before you invite people to upload;
  • keeping your host link private. Anyone who has it can manage the album, including deleting photos;
  • choosing a plan with an appropriate retention period, and downloading anything you want to keep before it expires.

3. Uploading content

You keep ownership of the photos and videos you upload. You grant us permission to store, process, and display them for the purpose of running your album, and to send them to the other people you have shared that album with.

These content rules apply to hosts and guests, including photos, videos, voice recordings, guestbook messages and other contributions. Upload or submit only content you have the necessary rights and consent to share. Do not upload, submit, distribute or link to:

  • illegal material, including child sexual abuse and exploitation material, or content promoting or facilitating child sexual exploitation, abuse or human trafficking;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • threats, unlawful harassment, content inciting violence, or sensitive personal information disclosed without lawful authority;
  • malware, phishing, fraud, spam or other abusive or harmful content or activity.

Hosts must inform their guests of these rules and must not knowingly permit prohibited use of their albums.

Storage providers and content restrictions

RevelPics uses Cloudflare, including R2 object storage, to store and deliver uploaded content. All uploads and other contributions must comply with the applicable content and acceptable-use restrictions in Cloudflare's Self-Serve Subscription Agreement, including section 2.7 (Acceptable Use), and the Cloudflare Developer Platform Service-Specific Terms, which include R2, as updated from time to time. These references concern content and acceptable use only; they do not make you a party to RevelPics' Cloudflare account agreement or apply Cloudflare's billing or dispute-resolution terms to your RevelPics purchase.

Cloudflare may block or remove content, or restrict, suspend or terminate its services, for suspected violations under its terms, sometimes without prior notice. This can affect access to an album or its content.

Reports and enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and, where reasonably necessary to protect others, enforce these rules, meet provider requirements or comply with law, restrict access to or remove content, disable contributions, or suspend or terminate an album or account. We may preserve relevant content and records and report or disclose information to service providers or competent authorities as permitted or required by law and as described in our Privacy Policy. A legal preservation requirement may delay normal deletion. These terms do not remove RevelPics' own legal obligations or your non-waivable consumer rights.

Report suspected prohibited content to [email protected] with the album link and a description of the concern. Do not attach or send copies of suspected illegal material.

4. Payment

An album is created after a plan has been paid for. Choose a plan, pay, and the album setup opens.

One payment covers the plan you choose, and nothing is recurring. A plan pays for one album on each current plan. Earlier purchases keep the album allowance, upload window, storage period and features recorded for that purchase.

Plans differ in how long the album is kept, how many photos and videos can be added to it, and which features are included. They are shown with their price and their inclusions on the home page, and the plan you choose is the plan you pay for.

Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as merchant of record. This means your purchase is from Paddle, and Paddle handles billing, applicable taxes, receipts, and refunds. Paddle's own terms apply to the transaction. What we will refund is set out in our Refund Policy.

5. Storage period

Choose the timezone where your event takes place. Your album deadlines follow that timezone, not each guest's phone timezone. The upload window and storage period are separate: when uploads close, existing content remains viewable and downloadable until storage ends, while plan access remains active.

You can prepare your album, cover and QR materials after payment. On new paid plans, guest contributions open at midnight on the calendar day before the event in your chosen timezone, and stay closed until you set an event date. Earlier contracts keep their recorded opening rules.

Upload closing and storage expiry are calculated from the later of album creation and midnight on the event date in the event timezone. Without a valid date, the calculation uses creation; this does not open guest contributions on an undated new paid plan. Older albums without a saved timezone use the server's local timezone. The current paid plans have these windows:

  • Photos: uploads for 90 days; storage for 90 days.
  • Celebration: uploads for 90 days; storage for 180 days.
  • Signature: uploads for 90 days; storage for 365 days.
  • Premium: uploads for 90 days; storage for 730 days.

Earlier purchases keep their recorded windows. Save your memories before storage ends: files then become due for permanent deletion by automatic cleanup. A confirmed full refund or chargeback removes paid access and applies a 60-day retention period from the same starting point, not from the refund date. That deadline may already have passed. An album originally created on the free plan returns to that plan's retention instead. See our Refund Policy.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service working, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We are not responsible for a venue's wifi, a guest's phone or browser, or a mobile network failing.

7. Limits of our responsibility

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, our total responsibility to you for any claim relating to an album is limited to the amount you paid for that album. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost or missed photographs.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

8. Ending your use

You may delete an album at any time. It is hidden at once, and its content is held temporarily before the cleanup job removes it from storage. We may suspend or close an account or album that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially we will update the effective date and notify hosts by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
